As an Avery Ballet dancer, I intend my actions and words both in the studio as well as in the community to display the following traits:  

INTEGRITY:  To conduct oneself with honesty, courtesy, and respect.  To express consideration for one's fellow dancers and faculty.  To be a person who leads be example and honors commitments.  This includes a willingness to be held accountable for the manner in which I participate in all company activities.  

LEADERSHIP:  To be given the privilege of setting an example and upholding the traditions of all previous generations of Avery Ballet.  To guide and influence people in achieving their highest goals and ideals.  By setting an example through one's actions and speech.  To be an inspiration to others both in dance and the community.  

RESPONSIBILITY:  To respect and adhere to the policies and procedures of the studio and company.  To comply with the requests of the studio and faculty and be an individual that can be counted on.  

CHARACTER:  To be a person who represents high levels of personal integrity, leadership, responsibility, and professionalism in classes, outside activities, events, and in all interactions with peers and authority figures.  To be a person who has the courage and willingness to face issues and concerns with maturity and dignity.  To avoid gossip, criticism, or denigrating comments for any member of the dance community, parent, or peers.  

PROFESSIONALISM:  To respect the dance profession and uphold our values and standards of conduct in a way that characterizes the highest qualities of dance professionals.  To support and encourage one another.  To voice opinions and initiate change that will elevate the dance community.  To recognize oneself as a role model at all times.  To love the study and performance of dance as a universal art form.  

Any choreography, performance, or photos produced by Avery Ballet LLC and its director/associate instructors are the sole property of Avery Ballet LLC.  A waiver must be signed by the director/choreographer/photographers for outside use of these properties.  

"All dancers are required to present themselves with professionalism at all times.  Dancers should behave throughout the facility in a disciplined, responsible and courteous manner.  The school reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student whose attitude, attendance, or conduct is found unsatisfactory."  -Avery Ballet, 1995
