Inside Avery Ballet Dodd Edition

For 23 years, Avery Ballet has been a praised establishment for providing unparalleled classical ballet training in a dedicated, professional atmosphere.  The school offers classes for the student who wishes to dance for health, self-enrichment, or vocation.  Emphasis is always placed on developing the dancer to have pure technique, musicality, and artistic maturity.  The atmosphere in class is one of encouragement, growth, and acceptance of individuality.

Dancers are urged to study various forms of dance at the school, as well as to experiment with choreography.  Additionally, the dancer is given the opportunity to work with guest teachers and choreographers, to compliment their training with Mrs. Avery and the Avery Ballet resident faculty.  The experience of working with these artists provides the student with diverse training and choreography in both the classical and contemporary repertoire.

Housed in a unique 1930’s building on the grounds of the Bowman Center, Avery Ballet is located at 11812 Main Street, adjacent to historic downtown Fredericksburg. Our facility provides abundant space for two practice studios with floating Marley floors, a dedicated pilates studio, 14 foot ceilings, expansive windows providing glorious natural light, and plenty of parking.

The program's distinctive features include accomplished faculty, artists-in-residence, and piano accompaniment. Professional training in an optimal setting establishes Avery Ballet as the foremost choice for a career in dance.
